Sheridan is looking for outstanding individuals to join our team in the Bachelor’s of Science Nursing Program. This program offers students a comprehensive set of practical and theoretical skills and prepares them for the responsibilities and competencies of Registered Practical Nurses, according to the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Sheridan seeks part-time clinical instructors to teach and oversee students in a variety of clinical placement experiences offered within the Bachelor’s of Science Nursing Program.To view the courses offered within the Practical Nursing program, visit:To view course outlines, visit:Sheridan faculty and staff are responsible for developing an effective learning environment for students while respecting their diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, experiences, and individual learning styles.What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering course curriculum in classroom and/or online, which includes ensuring student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques;
  • Tutoring and academic counselling of students, while evaluating student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the students’ work within assigned courses;
  • Defining, evaluating and validating learning outcomes and designing appropriate strategies and tools for assessing student learning;
  • Developing individualized instruction and multi-media presentations and incorporating technology into the learning process where applicable;
  • Attending periodic faculty meetings;
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Master of Nursing degree or equivalent;
  • Current membership as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario with no restrictions to practice;
  • Minimum of 5 years related professional experience;
  • Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following: Working with Vulnerable Populations, Women’s Health, Older Adults, Mental Health and Wellness, Acute Care, Clinical Simulation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat;
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development at the post-secondary level or equivalent experience as a trainer in Healthcare;
  • Network of contacts with other professionals in the Healthcare industry.
