The position provides direction to the My Way Young Adult Case Lead, Team Members and supports to the young adults engaging in the program. The My Way Young Adult Coordinator is expected to provide young adults with the opportunity to heighten their abilities and demonstrate their capabilities in relation to independent living, employment readiness, job search, and social development. This program is designed to support adults by building on-going supports as adults develop inter-dependent living situations. This program provides adults with effective hands on life-skill trainings essential for self-reliance. This position supports the daily supervision of young adults under CLBC. This position is full time and is required to be part of the on-call crisis response system.The successful candidate will have experience in:

• Employee Scheduling
• Property/Asset Management
• Report writing and data analysis
• Critical Incident documentation and follow-up
• Budget and fiscal management of the services

Qualifications required:

• A BSW or related degree and related experience in youth care field
• Experience in a management capacity
• Awareness of community services, resources, and systems
• Experience in working with Indigenous groups/communities in a cultural context
• Certification: Life Skills Coach, First Aid, Class 4 Driver’s License, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, Suicide Intervention, and Food Safe
• Demonstrated knowledge of Child, Family and Community Services Act
• Knowledge of application of service standards as per Accreditation Bodies
• MCFD Standards for Residential Resources awareness/knowledge
• Must clear a clear a Criminal Record Check
• Wage: $33/hr. to $38/hr. based on qualifications and experience with a full benefit plan and RRSP contributions.
