Job description
We are looking for a Program Manager for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.Hybrid schedule, at least 3 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.Role Description
The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and administration of multiple projects and ensure that the projects align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives and the overall goal of the program.Responsibilities
- Resolving resource constraints and/or conflicts that affect multiple projects within the program
- Aligning organizational/strategic direction that affects project and program goals
- Resolving issues and overseeing change management within shared governance structure
- Ensure that projects within the program adhere to the PMO strategy, policies, and practices and well as adhering to all other organizational policies, procedures, and requirements
- Responsible for the direction of a large, complex program which may involve a single or several customer locations
- Direct the efforts of many administrative and professional support staff in carrying out the tasks necessary to meet the customers’ requirements
- Meets with customer and contractor personnel to develop and review program plans, schedules, assignments, costs, etc. Ensures conformance with schedules and costs
- Producing Program Status reports and delivering status reports and presentations to stakeholders, steering committee, etc.
- Liaising with resource manager to discuss and update resource availability
- Program integration and performance management, including training, mentoring and coordinating project managers
- Centralized communication among project managers, project sponsors, managers, and other stakeholders
- Status reporting and presentation to Steering Committee and program sponsor(s)
- Planning, management, and status reporting for program status and health, risk, issues, changes and actions
- Program progress reports and updates for stakeholders
- Program Plan in work breakdown schedule format (Gantt chart), using Primavera or MS Project
- Quality Assurance participation and audit remediation as required
- Program documentation using the following: Prince2, PMBOK, SDLC, SAP ASAP, ITIL, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- PMP Certification
- Prince2 (Prince2 Practitioner certification)
- Prosci (Prosci ADKAR training and certification)
- SAP ASAP (ASAP Training and certification)
- SDLC (experience)
- Product-specific PM experience (Oracle ERP, AMI, Intel infrastructure, etc.)
