On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Programmer Analyst to join our Client’s team on a Contract basis. This role is Remote and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.Summary of the Role
The Programmer Analyst will analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This includes coding, testing, documenting, and maintaining software systems throughout the software development lifecycle.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Develop, test, and maintain applications using established standards and tools.Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure high-quality software delivery.Conduct JAD sessions and user interviews to gather requirements.Document software specifications and contribute to planning and deployment activities.Develop test plans and cases to validate application functionality.Support operational management activities and contribute to strategic planning.Core RequirementsProficiency in C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Blazor, SQL, PowerShell.Experience with Microsoft.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services/Power BI.Skilled in HTML/CSS, Web APIs, REST, token and multifactor authentication.Strong knowledge of GIT and experience using Azure DevOps.Experience managing branches and collaborating in a team environment.Desired Skills & ExperiencePHP experience is an asset.Public sector project experience preferred.Experience conducting software research and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience developing and executing test cases and plans.Familiarity with acquisition, deployment, and strategy planning processes.Terms
This is a 7-month contract position with the possibility of 12-month extensions. The role is remote, open to candidates anywhere in Canada.
