Job Title: Project Administrator

Job Description

The Project Administrator will play a critical role in supporting the Highway One project team by managing administrative, reporting, and data management tasks. This position ensures accurate and timely project documentation, supporting the successful delivery of the Highway One improvement works.

Responsibilities

  • Enter project data into company systems accurately and on time, including daily logs, delivery tickets, and cost details specific to the Highway One project.
  • Collect and compile information from Project Coordinators and site teams to prepare daily project reports for submission to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, focusing on progress, cost, and compliance.
  • Assist with budget entry, tracking, and reconciliation for Highway One project expenditures.
  • Support Project Coordinators and site teams with day-to-day tasks, including tracking delivery tickets and material quantities, inputting quantities and cost data into Excel, and assisting with system integrations and process improvements.
  • Prepare and format reports, meeting minutes, and other project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Gather information from site teams for progress and cost reporting, ensuring all data is accurate and submitted on schedule.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties to support the Highway One project team, including scheduling, document control, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all work complies with the company’s Integrated Management System, internal procedures, company rules, customer requirements, and all applicable safety and environmental protection standards.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of administrative experience, ideally supporting projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple team members.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Direct experience working in a construction, engineering, or project-based environment is a major asset.

Work Environment

This is an office-based role located in a site office trailer on the project site. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm. The position provides a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working on one of BC’s largest infrastructure projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of langley, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 – $33.00/hr.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Abbotsford,BC.
