We are currently seeking a Control System Engineer with Project Engineering experience for a position for a green hydrogen facility first of its kind. The position will be based in Hamilton, ON. You would be responsible for the delivery of services by a portion of the Fluor team and in representing the Client with oversight of activities completed by an EPC based in Hamilton, ON.

Project Engineers work on multidisciplinary teams to plan and perform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management assignments worldwide. The role of Project Engineer – Process will be specifically focused on scope associated with the process plant and bringing demonstrated technical and execution experience to direct the work of others.

This role has the responsibility to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this position is designed to develop broader project management knowledge and experience.

Employment Status: Due to the project nature of the industry this position may be a contractor hire.

You would be responsible for activities including:

• Performing basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of procedures, documentation of communications and meetings and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems

• Able to provide sound technical judgement and decision-making for instrumentation and control systems based deliverables and design issues including vendor equipment documentation.

• Coordinating efforts of technical disciplines, vendors, and licensors to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet project requirements and contractual obligations

• Supporting enforcement and/or implementation of client standards and specifications

• Overseeing the EPC deliverables and coordination of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages.

• Support in defining scope and developing progress reports, establishing, tracking, and monitoring of key design delivery schedule and quantities

• Other duties as assigned.
