You will be responsible for Market Area Project execution and related customer communication. The Project Manager will ensure parts deliveries are tracked and delivered on time in order to meet customer expectations and site requirements, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule and budget.In this position, you will report to the Manager, Project Management, LCS CAN.This position is mainly located in Montreal, QC but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. however, it involves up to 10% travel domestically.Team you belong toYou will join a team of project managers dedicated to managing Metso owned Inventory (MOI) Parts and Services contracts with Metso’s clients in accordance with the organization’s global processes, tools and policies, utilizing solid project management practices.What you’ll do

  • Responsible for managing projects, ensuring deliveries are properly resourced, meet customer expectations, fulfill contract obligations, and achieve targets for safety, quality, schedule and budget.
  • Customer’s single Point of Contact for queries related to delivery of parts on the contract.
  • Perform all required SAP functions including project setup, purchase requisitions, inventory management, invoicing, cost runs, and proper job closeout procedures within SAP.
  • Initiate, Plan, Monitor, Control & Close projects as sold by the Sales Account Managers / Proposal Department.
  • Take a lead on engaging both external & internal stakeholders through agreed upon regular meetings.
  • Delegate Deliverables to the project team members and be accountable for the deadlines.
  • Create Salesforce tickets to create or update the material, procurement source and delivery dates.
  • Ensure that the robust change management practices are being followed for the contract.
  • Maintain Risk Register, Change Log, Inspection Reports and all the important project relevant documentation.
  • Responsible to manage lessons learned, identify continuous improvement opportunities and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Who you are

  • Must be fluent in English and French (speaking, reading and writing.
  • Solid Experience in Project Management, PMP Certification is an asset.
  • Solid SAP fluency, especially in Materials Management & Production Planning modules.
  • Experience in mining or allied manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of mineral processing equipment & services is a plus.
  • Fundamental knowledge of commercial and legal terms and conditions.
  • Strong leadership skills with a bias for action and the ability to motivate teamwork.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings is a plus.
