As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for you!Position SummaryTerus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is looking to hire a Project Manager based in Prince Rupert, BC.Reporting to the Regional Construction Manager, the Project Manager will direct and manage the big picture of civil construction projects for their division, ensuring all elements align with the overall vision and goals. They will oversee and lead all aspects of operational projects from initiation to execution by directing resources, schedules, and budgets. The individual will build strong relationships with clients, engineers, contractors and other key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient project delivery. This role also involves quality assurance and quality control, cost control, financial reporting, and proactive problem-solving to address project issues.Main ResponsibilitiesSafety and Compliance

Cost ControlAccurately forecast project profitability, revenue, and margins within established timelines while designing and managing project budgets to ensure the wise use of resources.Oversee the project’s cost control system, including the daily approval of hired equipment and truck tickets, and track project costs against periodic targets to maintain financial control of each phase.Ensure timely delivery of purchase order slips, invoices, and expense reports to accounting, and assist in negotiating lower pricing with suppliers, subcontractors, and other third-party providers.Follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices as necessary.Quality ControlExamine engineering reports to ensure quality control requirements are met, applying corrective actions as necessary, and liaise with the Quality Control department to establish project design criteria, life, and minimum acceptable riding quality parameters.Support continuous improvement initiatives by integrating quality control throughout the process.Communication and Stakeholder ManagementCultivate strong relationships with client representatives, engineers, consultants, and internal departments.Liaise with project stakeholders regarding safety, project progress, scheduling, change orders, and other pertinent issues.Network with local government, private contractors, and the public to facilitate efficient communication and proactively resolve issues.Travel frequently to worksites to provide total ground-level support to Superintendents, Foremen, Crews, and other employees on a wide variety of issues and concerns.Experience and Knowledge Required for the Role:

Compensation DataThe anticipated salary range for this position is $92,000 – $113,000CAD.
