Overview:Job OverviewAs Composite Project Manager, you will lead composite teams and projects delivering high quality, safety-driven services sought to help clients realize optimal power performance on clean energy projects. As part of our field operations team, you’ll be exposed to a broad range of management and leadership activities and take on shared leadership responsibilities for composite field service safety, quality, and performance.You will also collaborate closely with various corporate representatives, as well as internal/external stakeholders of the company.The Sky Climber team is diverse and distributed across the U.S. & Canada and collaborates daily over our field communications app(s), Microsoft Teams, and virtual communication tools.What you will be doing
- Managing up to 50 field technician employees, and coordinate related composite service delivery
- Receiving project input information from Sales and developing project plans and schedules
- Identifying and allocating resources according to client needs (e.g., employees and equipment)
- Recommending appropriate resources to implement cost-effective program, policies, procedures, and processes
- Creating budgets and implementation plans, tracking financial and operational performance
- Managing project kick-off events, both remotely and in person, depending on project demand
- Conducting periodic site audits to assure safety, quality, and personnel policy compliance
- Managing customer purchase order progression to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Designing appropriate reporting for both internal and external review of project results
- Managing accurate and timely completion of all project reporting and documentation
- Procuring materials and special tooling as required for service delivery
- Acting as customer liaison for project progress and development of future business opportunities
- Providing technical assistance to field workforce employees
- Approving time-entry reports and billing for projects
- Assisting in developing and defining service/product strategy and roadmap
- Supporting sales efforts as an industry technical expert
- Serving as a field operations leader and mentor to developing employees
- Contributing to growth and implementation of training & development programs
- Leading and managing field operations compliance with local, state, federal, client, and company policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Engaging with executive leadership on a daily or weekly basis
What knowledge, skills & training you will bring
- High school diploma – associate, bachelor’s or PMP preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years managing complex, high-volume customer-facing projects
- Minimum of five (5) years industry related technical experience. Composite experience preferred.
- Ability to model and uphold highest standards of accountability, and take ownership as a highly self-driven leader
- Ability to lead and coordinate teams through challenging and complex projects
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic working environments, and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to lead and implement resolution and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to develop employee and customer loyalty through effective relationship building
- Willingness and ability to work cooperatively or independently
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
- Strong computer skills (e.g., MS Suite, Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to travel as needed to meet business objectives
- Ability to travel 30-50% depending on work demand
