Are you an independent IT Consultant or wish to become one?Are you looking to partner with an organization that presents you to consulting opportunities and supports you as a partner?Project Manager (Contract, Hybrid Remote/Onsite “Toronto”)We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development of a portal application as part of a larger D365 Deployment. Other Microsoft ecosystem include (D365, O365, SharePoint, Power BI, .NET, etc.).Your responsibilities

  • Partner with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Technical Leads to understand the technical solutions and functional requirements being implemented.
  • Act as Project Manager/Scrum Master and ensure team engagement
  • Take lead in translating technical details into simpler, business-friendly language to ensure client understanding and alignment
  • Elicit and understand clients’ business needs/goals and help them translate those into KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that will be used to govern the project(s) you will be managing
  • Define, manage, and monitor project scope throughout the project lifecycle
  • Estimate effort, create resource plans and budgets for defined scope
  • Effectively manage dedicated and shared resources to ensure your project needs are met while working closely with other project managers and leadership to ensure resource allocation and capacity thresholds are maintained
  • Partner with development team and QA analysts to ensure roadblocks are removed and that sprint commitments are met
  • Partner with clients and technical leads to ensure that releases are planned and executed appropriately, taking all technical, people and process elements into consideration
  • Lead and motivate team members through information authority to enable project/engagement goals are met
  • Successfully deliver assigned projects

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills needed to deliver clear and concise expectations, plans, deliverables, timelines, and ongoing status reports.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to understand complex business issues, a positive attitude, and exceptional organizational skills are key traits needed to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • 5+ years in a project management or similar team leadership role in an Agile or Hybrid agile environment
  • Agile/Scrum Certification
  • Project Management Institute certification / designation preferred
  • In-depth problem-solving analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft DevOps and backlog management
