Job description

The Psychometrist will work under the supervision of the Psychologist in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team within the Michael G. DeGroote Adult Pain Clinic. The Psychometrist will follow professional standards and regulations of Psychology and provide specialized psychological services to specific patient populations whose cognitive, emotional or social dysfunction impacts adaptive, vocational, social and/ or academic functioning.Qualifications1. Honour’s Baccalaureate in Psychology.
2. Master’s Degree in Psychology preferred.
3. Experience administering, scoring and and interpreting psychometric instruments including personality and pain-related psychological tests.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of chronic pain
management a definite asset.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of rehabilitation patients, including those with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
6. Demonstrated skills in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (standard CBT, ACT, and mindfulness approaches).
7. Demonstrated basic Neuropsychological assessment skills.
8. Self-directed, independent practitioner, also willing to share clinical skills as in having individual and group psychotherapeutic knowledge, experience and skills.
9. Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
10. Demonstrated ability in writing psychological reports under supervision.
11. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
