The Team

Perform Testing in the AML Technology Department. Responsible for testing the effectiveness of AML and sanctions controls executed by our business partners and operational units. The unit performs test validation against code to confirm the design solution meets the requirements definition. Customer on-boarding, risk rating, due diligence; name screening; and suspicious activity monitoring and reporting are just a few of the areas for which the team does testing.

The Role

  • Lead a team of qa engineers across geographies that develops and implements processes to create test data that will be used by the functional test teams to drive testing across the applications ensuring the data meets the business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Application, Data Development teams and Business Lines
  • Deep Dive into Source Data from Business Lines – Canadian Banking, International Banking, Wealth, Global Banking Markets etc
  • Perform data conditioning, profiling, and analysis to determine, create and update for better dimensional/hierarchical source data used for testing purposes in AML/ATF projects in the test environments
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with Data Lineage & Data Quality from complex Source Data sets
  • Good understanding of Data Mapping, Customer data, Integrity with Accounts, Transactions and X-Referential data preferred
  • Exposure to Big Data, Enterprise Data Lake (EDL-R), Hadoop is an asset
  • Expert knowledge of SQL queries, ETL, Back-End testing
  • Work with Technology Partners, Source Teams, Developers, Business Analysts to understand mapping and resolve complex data logic
  • Work with QAT Leads across value streams within AML Technology QAT department to understand test data requirements and facilitate test data preparation
  • Create and help maintain Golden Data sets across all value streams for Regression & Automation
  • Lead and drive Test Automation within the team to aggressively pursue the conversion of manual test execution to test scripts from a data validation standpoint
  • Contribute to the automation initiatives driving towards Dev Ops across FCRMT
  • Adhere and implement appropriate processes to retain testing evidence that meets Audit requirement/EDF standards
  • Review qa test strategies, plans & exit reports, schedules, procedures, and status reports
  • Review test case suites to ensure appropriate coverage of business requirements
  • Clear understanding and alignment with segregation of duties – QA Testing versus defining Business Requirements or Technical Design & Solutioning

Some of the key accountabilities include:

  • Lead a team of data testers with diverse levels of experience and knowledge
  • Assess, prioritize, and develop remediation plans to mitigate risks to project timelines
  • Act as a qa subject matter expert to provide sound feedback and guidance on best practices and methodologies
  • Assess risks and provide sound guidance and suggested solutions to your partners and test team members
  • Consistently provide knowledge transfer to team members to ensure the highest standard of data quality across multiple releases
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration without introducing impact/risk
  • Passion for testing and the evolution of testing practices and methodologies
  • Prepare Testing Status Reports – Daily, Weekly
  • Prepare Workday Estimates for review by Senior Management
  • Providing automation achievements for the Value Stream to highlight the ROI
  • Prepare and communicate performance feedback

What You Will Bring to Succeed

  • Sound knowledge of Data, EDL, Hadoop
  • Expert ETL, SQL Skills & Automation Skills
  • Understanding of AML
  • Working knowledge of QA processes preferred
  • Knowledge of Oracle Mantas OSFAA (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Application) & FSDM (Financial Services Data Model) & FCCM (Financial Crimes & Compliance Management)
  • Experience working on AML Regulatory Projects
  • Knowledge of Business domains (Wealth, Global Banking Markets, International Banking etc.) & Banking Domain expertise
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Data Comparison tools
  • Expertise in Data Analysis & an understanding of EDL- multiple source data layers
  • Ability to lead in a demanding work environment and through changing priorities
  • Ability to work with Cross functional teams across Technology and Business Partners to provide an effective service
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
