A leading manufacturer and distributor of bakery mixes, fillings, and icings, is actively seeking a highly motivated Production Plant Labourer to join our team in Calgary. This is a high-priority position, and we are aiming for a swift hiring process. Your role will involve handling and processing ingredients in our flour-mixing plant. This is a physically demanding role requiring repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for the duration of your shift.Position: Production Plant Labourer
Shift: Sunday – Thursday (Sunday: 11 AM – finish; Monday-Thursday: 12 PM – finish; shifts typically 8 hours, never exceeding 10-12 hours. Overtime available and paid.)
Salary: $22/hour

Responsibilities

• Order picking via forklift – reach krown
• Taking completed bags of dry-food mix from the machine, and stacking them on pallets
• Repetitively lifting 20 to 25kgs (44 to 55lbs).
• Loading and unloading orders onto pallets to be shipped out
• General cleaning duties of working area to ensure strong food safety
• Manual Order picking and preparing customer orders

Qualifications

• You have experience on a Reach forklift
• You are able to lift up to 50lbs
• You are comfortable standing for up to 8 hours
• A positive attitude and good attention to detail
• You have good communication skills
