Huawei Canada has an immediate 12-month contract opening for a Recruiter.About the team:As a strategic partner supporting all of Huawei Canada, the Human Resource Department plays a pivotal role in attracting, developing, and retaining top talent while ensuring compliance with corporate and legal standards. The Human Resource Department is committed to aligning workforce strategies with Huawei’s vision, driving sustainable growth and organizational effectiveness.About the job:Design and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies for technical and research positions, with a focus on AI and software rolesSource candidates through multiple channels including professional networks, online platforms, industry events, and academic institutionsScreen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers throughout the selection processBuild and maintain relationships with universities, research institutions, and professional communities to create talent pipelinesStay current on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive recruiting practices in the tech and AI sectorsManage the candidate experience from initial contact through onboardingTrack recruitment metrics and regularly report on hiring progressCollaborate with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and translate them into effective job descriptionsThe target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.About the ideal candidate:Produces high-quality results with minimal supervisionMaintains a positive attitude and collaborates effectively with team membersQuickly builds relationships with hard-to-find candidatesPassionate about talent acquisition, knowledgeable about industry best practices, and innovative in talent attraction strategiesResults-oriented and proactive with a strong “can-do” attitudeConfident in recruitment skills and possesses strong negotiation abilitiesProficient in MS Office SuiteExperienced in managing multiple open vacancies and prioritizing hiring needs effectively
