Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Hiring Unit:Department of GeographyPosition Summary:Conducting fieldwork, including regular maintenance of eddy covariance flux tower and supporting ancillary measurements. A technician will also be present for each visit site;Assisting with the set-up of eddy covariance data collected from wetland sites in British Columbia and Quebec;Analyzing eddy covariance data collected from wetland sites in British Columbia and Quebec;Preparing figures for peer-reviewed publications;Interpreting figures and assisting with writing for a peer-reviewed paper focused on understanding how greenhouse gas fluxes from a restored peatland in BC respond to climate change;Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities:Basic experience with programming languages such as R, MATLAB or PythonExperience with data visualization (e.g. making graphs using Excel or R/MATLAB/Python)Experience with report writingExperience and Education:Possesses subject matter expertise acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree, including courses in micrometeorology and hydrology;Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience related to the research project.
