Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Hiring Unit:School of Physical and Occupational Therapy ​Position Summary:To support activities related to a research project examining values that shape breast cancer screening participation decisions among South Asian people.Research project activities:

• Assisting with participant recruitment
• Communicating with potential study participants about their interest in participating, including answering any questions that potential participants might have about the study.
• Providing potential study participants with a letter of information/consent and filing completed consent forms according to study protocol.
• Supporting participants as needed to complete their sociodemographic questionnaire on REDCap, and analyzing these data as responses are collected.
• Scheduling interviews with participants and conducting one-on-one interviews in person, via phone, or MS Teams.
• Supporting interview audio file transcription and analyzing interview transcripts as interviews are conducted.
• Regularly communicating with the research team about sampling, recruitment, data collection and analysis.
• Contributing to other research activities as needed

Qualifications:Skills related to qualitative research such as:

• Collection and analysis of sociodemographic and interview data
• Knowledge of constructivist grounded theory methods
• Writing and presenting qualitative research findings to diverse target audiences (e.g., academic, community)
• Skills related to research coordination such as:
• Creating, testing, and administering REDCap forms
• Ensuring the veracity of transcripts of interview audio recordings
• Maintaining identifiable and deidentified study data according to study protocol
• Support with requesting annual research ethics renewalOrganizing research team meetings and communicating regularly with the research team

Assets include experience with research that engages with members of the public, patients, or communities, as well as knowledge of South Asian community health and health equity issues.Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing.
