Job description
Reporting to the Research Coordinator/Project Manager and Principal Investigators, the Research Assistant will work as part of a team that includes community storytellers and research partners to ensure timely and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Take leadership in drafting reports and scholarly articles for publication, collaboratively conduct literature reviews and summarize findings.
- Collaboratively assist with designing research methodologies and protocols.
- Monitor progress on various project tasks and ensure they stay on track and communicate with team members.
- Organize and maintain project documentation and records.
- Collaboratively assist with data analysis using statistical software or qualitative analysis tools (Experience with Nvivo an asset)
- Develop/assist in planning Interprofessional Health Education (IPHE) modules related to research findings and is a primary deliverable/outcome for the project
NoteThe successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required at times to meet operational requirements.Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in health, social science, management or a relevant field or a PhD student currently working in a related field.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, including the ability to manage records, respecting the privacy and confidentiality of research participants.
- Demonstrated previous collaborative experience with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, along with the ability to take initiative, act resourcefully, and think creatively to solve complex problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft applications, including Excel.
Assets
- Proven project management experience.
- Knowledge of online survey platforms, qualitative interviewing, and health services research.
- Background in health and community development research.
- Familiarity with use of social media, including Facebook and Twitter in a research context.
