TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnered with one of Western Canada’s leading HVAC/R distributors. Our client has been around for over 70+ years and is a highly respected industry leader. They are in search of a Residential Territory Manager – HVAC & Refrigeration for the Calgary area.Base Salary range is in the $95,000-$110,000 rangeKey Responsibilities:
- Sales Planning: Collaborate with management to update and refine the territory plan, ensuring sales goals are met.
- Product Recommendations: Identify and understand customer needs to recommend appropriate products tailored to their requirements.
- Customer Relationship Management: Track customer satisfaction trends and continually enhance relationships by addressing needs and concerns.
- Product Knowledge Development: Stay informed about product features, industry trends, and innovations by attending meetings, vendor trainings, and trade shows.
- Business Growth: Expand the customer base by identifying and qualifying new opportunities for Residential products, such as ductless systems, HRVs, installation materials, aftermarket parts, etc., using effective cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
- Customer Support: Keep detailed records of customer information and requests, offering assistance as needed (e.g., providing information, resolving complaints).
- Pricing Negotiation: Set competitive pricing and terms in line with company standards to ensure profitable transactions.
- Dealer Program Expertise: Fully understand Residential Dealer Programs and demonstrate their benefits to customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- On-Site Support: Visit customer locations as needed to troubleshoot issues, address concerns, and follow up on the progress of jobs.
- Regular Customer Engagement: Establish a consistent weekly call schedule with Residential dealers and potential new accounts.
- Sales and Product Training: Provide sales and product training to key dealer personnel as requested by the dealer or management.
Skills & Requirements:
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of success in sales, utilizing effective techniques to close deals.
- HVAC/R Knowledge: Solid understanding of HVAC/R systems and the ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to customers.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze situations and resolve issues effectively.
- Integrity: A commitment to ethical standards and integrity in all aspects of the role.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen and negotiate effectively.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as distribution software and other tools provided by management and suppliers.
- Travel: Ability to travel within the province when required.
- Driving Requirements: Own vehicle, valid Class 5 driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma at minimum, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of similar experience
- Experience with HVAC and/or Refrigeration Systems
- Experience in B2B residential sales
