RVP, Channel Sales
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Channel business for Canada. In this capacity, you will own the go-to-market execution and management of five Channel Executives to meet and/or exceed the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives. In this role, you will own, build and drive new business revenue through partnerships and alliances with major Canadian vendors. If you have a deep understanding of the software industry, a proven track record of building and leading teams and use creative approaches to align strategies and execution plans then this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
What will you be doing?
• Leading Canadian indirect channel strategy that encompass the entire partner lifecycle and functional areas (recruitment, enablement, operations, to/through partner marketing, Go-To-Market, Cross-Sell/Up-Sell, New Business Sales)
• Building and driving new business revenue through partnership and alliances
• Developing and maintaining strong partnerships across the Sage Ecosystem
• Maintaining a standard Executive Rhythm of the Business and Score carding processing based upon the Partner Business Plan; including weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews and report roll ups
• Leading Executive Engagement with named partner and drive aligned executive engagement across VP and C-Level Execs within the assigned partnership and Sage executives
• Delivering closed-loop lead and deal management process and metrics to support sales and marketing objectives and goals
• Reporting sales activity and forecast to senior management to provide timely insight on trends and issues
• Ongoing mentoring and development of the channel sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training channel executives on the Sage sales process
• Ensuring Channel team are developing and executing against territory development plans to drive consistent pipeline generation
• Provide sales leadership by participating and leading in prospect meetings or engaging other corporate resources as required
• Identifying and making recommendations for improvement in the areas of Process, Efficiency, Productivity
• Up to 25%+ travel
Qualifications:
• 12+ years of sales experience with at least 5+ years of overall experience in SaaS sales management (at least 3 years 2nd level management), preferably in enterprise applications/ERP with SMB (preferred) or Mid-Market accounts.
• Demonstrated ability working in a high velocity sales model
• Demonstrated consistent proven track record of over achievement of quota expectations
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business, sales, and marketing plans
• Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast revenue monthly, quarterly, and annually
• Demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate complex sales cycles and contracts
• Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve situations that are broadly defined, complex, diverse, and occasionally unprecedented
• Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts, proposals, and other sales related documents
• Successful experience creating and presenting sales programs to a diverse audience.
