We are seeking an SAP ABAP Development Specialist for a 6-month hybrid assignment (with potential renewal). This role is part of a Financial Systems Transformation Project, involving the migration of SAP Finance modules from ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The selected consultant will provide hands-on ABAP development, technical design, integration, documentation, and knowledge transfer to support a high-quality, efficient transition.Advantages

• Design, document, develop, and test ABAP development objects in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
• Support the migration of SAP Finance modules by ensuring smooth system integration and functionality.
• Develop interfaces, reports, forms (SAP Adobe Forms), and enhancements following SAP best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, perform quality assurance (QA) checks, and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Assist with defect resolution, error handling, and monitoring for development objects.
• Work with SAP Gateway Service Builder, Core Data Services (CDS), and ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA/ECC and external applications via IDocs, APIs, and middleware tools.
• Develop and maintain technical specifications, unit test documents, and run procedures.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to upskill internal development teams and ensure project sustainability.
• Provide feedback on functional specifications and documentation from system integrators.
• Participate in workshops, functional reviews, and system integration activities.
• Assist in designing project and sustainment procedures related to SAP development and Fiori application management.

Qualifications
1.Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience (ABAP Objects, ABAP 7.4/7.5).
• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC development across FI, CO, FM, GM, TRM, MM, SD modules.
• Strong integration experience using IDocs, OData, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, Cloud Integration (CI), and Application Interface Framework (AIF).
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori application development and Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Hands-on experience with SAP Workflow, Adobe Forms, Embedded Analytics, and SAP Analytics Cloud.

2.Additional Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit, Code Inspector, SAP Solution Manager, Jira, and SAP Quality Center by HP.
• Experience in project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and mentoring junior developers.
• Working knowledge of SAP RE, PM, and HCM modules is an asset.

3.Educational Background & Certifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• SAP development-related certification is an asset.
