Job description

Our client is looking for a SAP Project Systems and Asset Accounting Specialist for an hybrid mandate. Candidate must be local Halifax based.

• Start date: February 10, 2025
• End date: May 30, 2025
• Hybrid mode: 2 days on site, downtown Halifax
• 35 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Support understanding of solution process impacts for transition to S4 Hana
• Support quality assurance, UAT, Data Conversion,
• Training, Operational Readiness, Business Ramp down, Ramp up,
• Hyper Care and transition to post live support including:
• Training of Sector business and support teams
• Issue investigation and troubleshooting to support sectors
• Client understanding and support in preparation of system implementation
• Clarification and investigation into data conversion where required
• Collaborate with sector partners toward the refinement, enhancement, and clarification of Business change and solution adoption.

Providing the PMO and Pillar Leads with:

• Regular status reports
• Risk and issue details to be managed and mitigated.
• Adhering to client division policies and procedures
• Support for other Pillars such as interfaces, data, training, Organizational and change management, Sustainment related to finance.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ Years Asset accounting, capital policies, plant maintenance/capital investment orders, amortization
• Knowledge, SAP PS and IM (Project Systems and Investment Management)
• Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting
• 5+ years data analysis
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite of products Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Desirable qualifications:

• Experience working with SAP CPS (Project Systems and Investment Management) in operations or on a project
• Experience with Public Sector Accounting Board
• Knowledge of integration points in the SAP ecosystem across modules related to finance.
• Knowledge of process management in Solution Manager
• Knowledge and/or experience in the following methodologies: project management, scrum, lean six sigma, change management (PROSCI).
• Experience training clients on SAP solution, and in particular Project Systems and Investment Management
• S4 experience
