Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Basis Architect to lead the technical design and architecture of their SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth expertise in the latest SAP technologies, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), and HANA Cloud, and will be responsible for ensuring the seamless implementation, optimization, and management of our SAP S/4HANA infrastructure. The architect will also guide the transition to a more cloud-based SAP ecosystem, integrating the latest advancements in SAP technology.

• SAP Basis Administration

• Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with at least 5 years focused on SAP S/4HANA environments on cloud.
• Proven experience in cloud-based SAP architecture, particularly with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP HANA Cloud, and SAP Fiori.
• Strong experience with SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), SAP S/4HANA on Azure.
• Solid understanding of SAP HANA architecture and database management, including performance optimization, backup, recovery, and high availability.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration and upgrading strategies, including the use of SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) and SAP Transformation Navigator.

Skills:

• Expertise in SAP Solution Manager, SAP Focused Run, SAP GUI, HANA Studio, and cloud-based monitoring and performance tools.
• Strong understanding of SAP security, including user roles and authorizations in both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in SAP Basis, HANA database, and SAP integration technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, SAP Fiori, and SAP UI technologies for system customization and user experience enhancements.
• Familiarity with SAP Data Intelligence and SAP Analytics Cloud for integrating advanced analytics and data pipelines into the S/4HANA landscape.

Certifications:

• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA or equivalent.
• SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA is a plus.
• SAP Cloud Platform and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) certifications are a plus.
• ITIL or other relevant certifications in service management or cloud architecture is an advantage.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and engage with business and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with multiple priorities.
