Job description

Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Solution Architect contractor to join their project starting January 20, 2025 and will run for 12 months. This will be primarily a remote work setting with some possible very occasional on-site work needed in Montreal. Local candidates based in Montreal will be preferred, however, all candidates will be considered.

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing SAP supply chain solutions and have a strong understanding of logistics processes (inbound/outbound), with an expertise in integrating SAP to Transport Management Systems.
• Provide an architectural conception of the solution regarding Business, Application, Information and Technology domains via the solution architecture design document.
• Build Solution Architecture for logistic inbound/outbound and its interfaces to connected systems.
• Implement and integrate technology solutions for logistic inbound and outbound, SAP, transport management system, Real time transport visibility platform (RTTVP), Yard management system (YMS).
• Ensure that all technology solutions comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with the organization to understand organizational and departmental strategy and agree on information systems solutions to meet the needs.
• Estimate cost, and prepare business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licenses, cyber security, development and support.
