Experience Level: 4+We are seeking a skilled SAS Base and IFRS 17 Consultant to support our financial and actuarial teams in implementing IFRS 17 reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAS Base programming, data analytics, and financial reporting within the insurance sector. This role requires a strong understanding of IFRS 17 compliance, actuarial data processing, and risk assessment.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SAS Base programs to support IFRS 17 reporting and analytics.
• Work closely with actuarial, finance, and IT teams to implement IFRS 17-compliant solutions.
• Analyze insurance contracts, financial statements, and actuarial data for accurate risk assessment.
• Ensure data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes align with IFRS 17 standards.
• Optimize SAS-based data models and workflows to improve reporting efficiency.
• Assist in testing, validation, and troubleshooting of IFRS 17 models and financial reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and regulatory changes.
• Provide documentation and training to internal teams on IFRS 17 and SAS best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong expertise in SAS Base (macros, data step, SQL, and reporting functions).
• Experience working with IFRS 17 regulatory frameworks and financial reporting processes.
• Understanding of actuarial calculations, risk modeling, and insurance contract measurement.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting tools.
• Familiarity with finance, accounting, and actuarial data structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize SAS processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with finance, actuarial, and IT teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in insurance or financial services industries.
• Knowledge of SAS Viya, IFRS 17 software solutions, and cloud-based reporting tools.
• SAS Certification (e.g., SAS Certified Base Programmer, SAS Advanced Programmer).
