Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Scheduler to join our construction team, working on-site at a Wastewater Treatment Plant in BC. This role nvolves hands-on scheduling duties alongside the construction team. The Scheduler will lead planning sessions, integrate subcontractor schedules, manage scope changes, and support the site manager in aligning field activities with the master schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning sessions with the construction team and subcontractors.
• Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master schedule.
• Manage scope changes and align field activities with the master schedule.
• Collaborate closely with field supervision and project leadership.
• Maintain schedule integrity and identify potential risks.
• Support field execution and ensure tight coordination between trades, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of scheduling experience in construction, ideally with a general contractor on large-scale industrial projects.
• Experience supporting heavy industrial scopes such as oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or wastewater.
• Proven track record on projects valued at $150M+ with complex phasing and multi-discipline coordination.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for building, maintaining, and analyzing schedules.
• Strong Excel skills for reporting and data manipulation.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts, and proposal documents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CSTS certification required for site access.
• Experience with Time Impact Analysis and schedule delay methodologies.
• Understanding of Advanced Work Packaging / WorkFace Planning.
• Exposure to 4D scheduling is a bonus.
• High emotional intelligence for managing relationships with field supervision, project managers, and clients.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Work Environment

This position requires full-time on-site work in BC, Monday through Friday, with 10-hour days. You must pass Drug & Alcohol testing for access to specific scopes. Working within a dynamic and active construction site, the Scheduler will be part of an exciting project with opportunities for professional growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75.00 – $80.00/hr.
