Job description

We are looking for a Test Automation Developer/SDET for our client Aviva Canada at Markham, ON. It’s a hybrid role – 2 Days onsite.Location: Markham, ONTest Automation Developer/ Test Automation Engineer
Test Automation Developer/Engineer is responsible for the overall feature and end-to-end testing for Aviva Canada on various projects and initiatives in an agile environment by ensuring comprehensive test coverage, including increase first time automation, this role will report directly to the Sr. QE Manager/ Automation Manager. The candidate will work closely work with delivery team and develop and follow test strategy according to IT governance and audit requirements follow the project delivery, ensuring QA standards and strategy are followed.Requirement

• Technical experience in test automation and in design and development of automation frameworks covering different technology and application platforms.
• Deep understanding & experience of automation development tool sets (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, SOAPUI/JSON)
• Experience in implementing test automation development efforts in an Agile SCRUM development environment.
• Good technical writing skills and ability to describe clearly complex processes and tasks.
• Proven work experience with Digital Automation Testing (Cross Browser, Mobile)
• Clear verbal & written communication skills in English
• Great attitude and work ethics

Must Have

• Expertise in Automation Testing using – Selenium – Java/Python ( Framework Development, Enhancement)
• API Testing (Expertise working with XML/JSON, SOAP API, REST API – Framework Development, Enhancement))
• Expertise in Java Development
• Expertise working with CI/CD Pipeline, First time Automation, Digital Test Automation
• Knowledge of SQL
• Working with GIT/Bit bucket (Source code management tool)
• Jenkin /JIRA Integration using API.

Nice to Have

• Guidewire Application Experience
• Insurance Domain Knowledge
• Working knowledge on automate testing accessibility per WCAG standard is a plus.
