Sea Logistics Pricing Supervisor in Vancouver, British Columbia

Your Role

The Sea Logistics Pricing Supervisor role is critical to ensure customer satisfaction ( external and Internal), client development and long-term client retention. You will be responsible for making sure there is a proactive and efficient communication between all stakeholders and at the same time ensuring the pricing quotations are being sent in a timely basis and with competitive rates. Additionally, you will lead, develop and assist staff in pricing with matters of escalation, keep good and constant communication with the National Revenue Manager along with sales team and management in order to define pricing strategies for new and long-term customers.

Your Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for preparing quotations of VIP clients in response to inquiries by sales representatives and customer care staff.

• You will manage, streamline and automate quotation renewals regionally

• Proactively engaging with internal stakeholders including customer care, sales and the business field.

• Actively develop, manage and maintain pricing related processes and tools.

• Maximize GP while ensuring quotations remain market competitive

• Develop in-dept market knowledge, including competitor knowledge, customer profiles, pricing levels that consistently gain business and communicate and report on such areas on a regular basis.

• Review, negotiate, and interpret quotations/ contracts from overseas offices, and ocean carriers.

• Be actively involved and influence commercial strategy that ensures quotations are in-line with market pricing

• Supervise, evaluate and lead the pricing staff

• Share knowledge with sales representatives and customer care staff to ensure optimal carrier selection

Your Skills and Experiences

• Degree / Diploma in International Business, Trade, Logistics is preferred

• 4+ years of experience in similar role from Sea Logistics Pricing and Operations

• 4+ years of experience from Freight Forwarding/Logistics industry is required.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• CIFFA certificate is an asset

• Strong negotiation, time management and problem solving skills

Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and dental benefits, a retirement savings plan, and tuition reimbursement. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
