—What will your typical day look like?As a Senior Associate or Manager, you will work with clients across all industry sectors primarily during the pre-deal diligence stage within the M&A deal lifecycle, providing services including: operational due-diligence; synergy case development and reviews; stand-alone / carve-out costs analysis; and operational performance / value creation assessments. Your clients will be senior level executives at strategic acquirers and private equity firms.About the teamIf you asked our current Senior Associates or Managers about their Operational Due Diligence (ODD) activities over the past year, their answer would likely include:

• Assisted clients in understanding and analyzing the true operational capability and risks of potential acquisition / divestment target businesses, including; integration and separation considerations, operational performance gaps, rapid opportunities for improvement, and potential merger synergies;
• Supported our clients in identifying risks and issues related to integration and separation planning, timelines, and functional areas;
• Used technical, financial and analytical expertise to guide the client team towards superior strategic and tactical decisions based on ‘irrefutable’ facts and logically sound arguments;
• Managed small client engagement teams (2-3 professionals) and engaged with senior client representatives daily;
• Demonstrated a solid understanding of business operations, integrations, carve-outs, and other types of transaction engagements;
• Assisted in business development activities and attended pursuit meetings with clients to help sell work;
• Developed excellent relationships with senior leaders in the client organization and was responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction for the overall engagement; and
• Actively performed and promoted peer-reviews and other quality activities to continuously improve our quality and raise the bar.

In addition to these, our team members also get exposure to other M&A related experiences that could include:

• Supporting other pre-deal due diligence efforts, including market assessments, HR, and IT/technology due diligences to help client make informed decisions;
• Assessing a client’s state of M&A readiness with respect to people, resources, planning, data collection and strategy, while identifying significant risks, issues, interdependences and opportunities for overall improvement;
• Assisting with the assessment and configuration of a client’s target operating model, and the identification of its synergies and key value drivers;
• Delivering recommendations for rapid EBITDA improvement. For example, completing work on pricing studies, sales and marketing effectiveness, product and customer profitability, value analysis, supply chain, cost efficiency and organizational structure redesign and working capital management;
• Embracing and living our firm’s purpose – to make an impact that matters – by pushing themselves and their colleagues to identify solutions to the challenges that are the most important for our clients, people, and society;

Enough about us, let’s talk about youAs a Senior Associate or Manager, you are someone with the following credentials:

• A bachelor’s degree and/or approximately 3 – 6 years of related work experience, with skills developed ideally within an operational role in a top-tier management consultancy or corporate environment;
• Professional designations, applicable certifications and/or master’s level education in a related field.

You are someone with experience in some of the following areas:

• Experience in assessing value creation opportunities or delivering an operational turnaround within a short time horizon;
• Demonstration of a core analytical skill-set, including hypothesis-based problem solving skills, high attention to detail, analytical rigor and discipline;
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including the ability to understand and analyze financial statements in order to provide analysis and data-driven recommendations to clients;
• Structured communication (written and oral) and facilitation skills with the ability to
• lead clients through the discovery of insights;
• Strong interpersonal skills and networking capabilities to support our services internally and externally;
• Ability to effectively team and work in a dynamic, start-up environment; willingness to contribute to the development of internal processes and procedures; and
• Flexibility and adaptability regarding work assignments, including willingness to learn new skills, subject matter areas and industries, and willingness and ability to travel.

Total RewardsThe salary range for the Senior Associate position is $58,000 – $138,000 and $86,000 – $175,000 for the Manager position, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
