The role

Please note, we are only accepting applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Québec for this role. For Québec-based positions, the position requires proficiency in English, as the role involves regular communication with clients and colleagues located outside of Québec.

Role responsibilities

• Design of robust and modular microservices with Spring Boot. Management of transactions, errors, and performance in a distributed environment.
• Responsible for the complete lifecycle from design to support as the ultimate escalation in production.
• Management of schemas via Schema Registry, partitions, offsets, parallel consumption. Optimization of latency and resilience (order guarantee, deduplication, reprocessing).
• Event Stream Management (Kafka)Design and maintenance of Kafka producers/consumers for PDDs.
• Monitoring of topics via Dynatrace or Kafka metrics (lag, throughput). Coordination with Data teams for event structuring (JSON payload)
• Observability and Performance (Dynatrace)Configuration and monitoring of Dynatrace dashboards for microservices and Kafka streams.
• Proactive analysis of performance anomalies, HTTP errors, response times. Implementation of alerts and dynamic thresholds in collaboration with Ops.

Must have qualifications

• To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
• Development and Integration (Java / Spring Boot)Mastery of secure REST APIs (design, development, testing, documentation)
• Ability to identify bottlenecks between PDD ↔ API ↔ Salesforce 4. CI/CD and automation (GitLab / AWS / Gearset)
• Use of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC), environment configuration, and automated deployment.
• Implementation and maintenance of GitLab CI pipelines for build, test, deployment, and rollback. Use of AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch) to host, deploy, and monitor services.
• Salesforce Integration / Data Products Understanding of the 360° customer data model: contact, player, account, transaction, points, behavior.
• Mapping and synchronization of transactional events between gaming systems → Kafka → PDD → SF Core/Data Cloud.
• Management of bidirectional flows: push/pull of customer data, transaction statuses, and gaming history.
• Coordination with Data Cloud / Loyalty teams for identifier reconciliation and unique profile tracking.
• Automation of unit and integration tests (Postman, RestAssured). Collaboration with Salesforce teams to coordinate Gearset deployments.
• Salesforce Integration / Data Products Understanding of the 360° customer data model: contact, player, account, transaction, points, behavior
• Good understanding of integration patterns. Knowledge of Salesforce REST/Bulk/Composite APIs for bidirectional integration.

This is a Full Time position based in Montreal, Quebec.
