You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.This position is based at our Windsor office. Responsibilities:What your day will look likeProject Manager Component

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, ensure financial objectives are met. Work with Administration staff to complete various financial management activities, including invoicing, collections/AR, backlog analysis, etc.
  • Work with Contract Administration staff to oversee construction activities, ensuring they are completed to the required quality standards, and resolve any on-site issues that arise. Attend pre-construction meetings
  • Manage or support post construction activities as required for objectives such as letter of credit reductions, construction certifications, municipal assumption activities, registration clearances, etc.

Project Engineer Component

  • Oversee and contribute to the design and engineering of site and subdivision development projects, including grading and drainage, sewer and water infrastructure, project phasing, utility coordination, stormwater management, low-impact development, and erosion and sedimentation control. (use of Civil 3D and other land development software is an asset but not required)
  • Work closely with other project managers, Team Leads, and designers to perform various design and approval related tasks, including preparation and coordination of Preliminary Servicing Reports (PSI), Functional Servicing Reports, Design Briefs, and Stormwater Management Reports
  • Work directly with the project consultant team and client representatives to facilitate design coordination as well as direct contact with approval agencies to expedite addressing comments
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to junior staff and assist in their skill development and growth

  • Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Qualifications:What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a relatable degree
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario
  • Expert knowledge of Subdivision and Site Plan Design
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset
  • A working knowledge of Stormwater Management practices and techniques

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years project management experience in the Civil/Land Development Sector
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple project timelines
  • Experience working on projects in southwestern Ontario is an asset
  • Experience related to subdivision design and approvals in preferred
  • Experience with a wide variety of land development projects is an asset
  • A passion for learning new ways to use the design software to produce smarter & faster designs and a desire to be on the leading edge and stay there
  • A desire to make the world a better place through your professional work and an appreciation that this must be done pragmatically in the context of project budgets and what agencies will approve
