The successful candidate team is responsible for the development of new application APIs using Python. The new application will be used for reporting and analytics as well as for financial planning activities. a strong technical background and good communication skills. • Uplift strategic Fixed Income Cash & FX systems to enable the capture of data flows in the firmwide data catalog.
• Annotate system code to define, and document data sets, that represent the risk data that is processed and stored within our systems.
• Modify build systems to automatically publish those data sets and any updates or changes to them in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Work with upstream and downstream system subject matter experts to develop and comprehensively document the lineage of data as it flows through the firm’s Fixed Income systems.

Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience developing and supporting large production systems.
• Fixed Income domain knowledge.
• An aptitude for understanding complex data models and schemas.
• Ability to quickly familiarize with large codebases, in a variety of languages, to trace data flows and transformations.
• Finance language/literacy is key
• Understand Data Lineage concepts
• Able to read Java/Python programs and understand the logic
• Understand Collibra
• Good SQL and data management skills Data analysis

Good to have CICD:

• Jenkins
• Proficiency and development experience using

• Perl,
• Java &
• SQL.

• Familiarity with C++ is a bonus.
• Work experience and proficient knowledge with:

• Linux
• Autosys
• Shell scripts
• Json
• Yaml
• Build pipeline systems.

• Knowledge of Java Frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate
• Knowledge of messaging/streaming systems will be an added advantage.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinker and good problem-solver.
