Job Summary We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Toronto Fraud and AML IT team. work on the development and deployment of data pipeline, drive innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement. The candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, software development and leadership, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs. The person will collaborate closely with team members under Agile Squad including product owners, architects, business analysts and quality engineers.
The candidate posts deep understanding of data management principles, modern data stack, cloud computing and ability to apply them in practical, business-focused context. Partners across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues.Job Description

• Creating software for retrieving, parsing and processing structured and unstructured data. • Defining and building scalable ETL/ELT workflows for reporting and analytics. • Developing scripts and programs for converting various types of data into usable formats. • Contribute to technical design, development, and implementation of applications. • Working with different RBC internal teams for software feature delivery, support and bug fixes. • Supporting project team to scale, monitor and operate data platforms for very high availability and performance. • Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, responsiveness of applications. • Participate in post-implementation reviews of application, development, and processes, continually working to create a learning environment by sharing with others.
