What you will be doing:
The Senior Manager, Tangerine Growth Advisors is responsible for leading, coaching, and supporting a team of Advisors to drive the success of Tangerine’s Wealth delivery. This role ensures alignment with Tangerine’s overall strategy while fostering a client-focused sales culture.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Foster a client-first culture by deepening relationships, acquiring new clients, and leveraging Tangerine and broader Bank capabilities.
- Lead and coach the Growth team in building long-term client relationships remotely, using best practices in outreach and engagement to drive sales and meet performance goals.
- Monitor team performance and recommend strategies to improve sales results and overall effectiveness.
- Identify growth opportunities with existing clients and new markets to support business development.
- Ensure risk is managed effectively by implementing Bank policies and considering risk appetite and culture in daily decisions.
- Promote operational excellence by aligning team practices with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while maintaining strong compliance and risk controls.
- Build a high-performance team through inclusive leadership, coaching, clear communication of strategy, and succession planning.
- Escalate key trends and issues to business partners with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain up-to-date product knowledge and training across the advisor team.
- Support the evolution of Tangerine’s Wealth advice model to enhance client experience, advisor effectiveness, and business growth.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Deep expertise in virtual/remote sales including common challenges and proven best practices.
- Strong knowledge of sales management strategies, tools, and execution techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of best-in-class Wealth Advisory practices and client engagement models.
- Skilled in discovery techniques to uncover client needs and build rapport.
- Experienced in building trusted relationships remotely, especially over the phone or virtually.
- Experienced in people leadership, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, including Privacy, AML/ATF, FCAC, FATCA, KYC, CDIC, and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Strong product knowledge across investment vehicles, including Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds, ETFs, and Alternative Assets.
- Registered either as a Registered Representative or Portfolio Manager with CIRO, or licensed as a Portfolio Manager under the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC).
- Experience pulling data and insights from CRM (Salesforce).
- Certification in financial advisory (e.g., CFP, PFP) is a plus.
- Client Centric Focus: Deep commitment to empowering advisors to provide exceptional client advice.
- Collaboration: Strong ability to work across teams, including sales, product, and compliance.
- Digital Expertise: Proficient in integrating digital tools and strategies into enablement programs.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align advisor initiatives with Wealth’s business and revenue goals.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-evolving digital banking environment.
