Our services include hospice counselling, spiritual care, the HUUG Children’s Program, health and wellness, bereavement support, and soon – a Hospice Centre.About the Opportunity:In this role, you will lead the strategic direction and hands-on execution of all marketing and communications initiatives to help our team:tell our amazing stories,elevate our profile,enhance our digital engagement,create informative materials,grow community support,drive consistency of our communications.Build meaningful media relationships,And so much more…This integral position will require close collaboration with our care and administrative teams, internal stakeholders, external partners and consultants to create and implement effective and consistent messaging, digital campaigns, media relations, and community engagement strategies.It is expected that this position will be onsite as needed, estimated at 2-3 days per week.Your Key Responsibilities:Marketing Strategy Development & Implementation:Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Hospice Mississauga’s mission and strategic goals, focusing on building brand awareness, donor engagement, and community outreachCollaborate to refine and uphold key messaging across all platforms, including the development of a Communications GuideDrive digital marketing initiatives, including website management, SEO, social media, email marketing, and content creation to enhance community engagement and supportMedia & Public Relations:Manage media relations efforts, including press releases, interviews, and public statements to ensure positive coverage of Hospice Mississauga’s initiativesCultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts and stakeholders to support fundraising campaigns, event promotions, and key announcementsContent Creation & Management:Oversee the creation and distribution of compelling content that resonates with donors, volunteers, and the community at large, ensuring alignment with Hospice Mississauga’s compassionate and community-centered approach, language and servicesLead the development of print and digital materials, including newsletters, brochures, event programs, and annual reportsDigital Marketing, Social Media and Website:Lead the strategy and implementation of digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns, Google Ads, and website optimization using WordpressEnsure that all digital communications are consistent, brand-aligned, and effectively convey the impact of Hospice Mississauga’s services and programsManage website updates and social media content creationFundraising Campaign Support:Support the marketing and communication efforts for fundraising campaigns, including the capital campaign for the new Hospice CentreWork with cross-functional teams to promote hospice events, ensuring strategic messaging and cohesive brand representation across all channelsPrograms and Services Support:Work with our programs team to update, create and refine materials to meet required needsCoordinate printing and material fulfillmentMeasurement & Reporting:Establish KPIs for marketing and communications initiatives and regularly report on the effectiveness of campaigns through data-driven insightsProvide recommendations for continuous improvement based on analytics and community feedbackQualifications and ExperienceDegree/Diploma or advanced work experience in Marketing, Communications, Public RelationsMinimum of 4 years of work experience in a similar roleProven expertise in digital marketing, media relations, and content creationExperience in managing cross-functional projects, including collaborating with consultants and external partnersStrong understanding of donor engagement, fundraising communications, and community outreach strategiesUnderstanding and familiarity with the charitable sector is an assetExpertise in using software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Canva to design high-quality marketing materials and social media assets.Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other editing software to create engaging video content for campaigns, events, and digital platformsEmail marketing experience with platforms like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar, to create, distribute, and analyze email campaignsFamiliarity with website management and CMS tools such as WordPress, with basic HTML/CSS knowledge being an assetAbility to use Google Analytics, social media analytics, and other reporting tools to measure performance, track engagement, and provide actionable insightsFamiliarity and comfort with AI technologyYou are a:Strategic Visionary: You are a
