Our Utilities client is looking for a project manager with the capability to take on a variety of assignments. The client has numerous projects planned and occurring for 2025/26 across their business units. These projects are application-focused and may include upgrades to existing COTS or custom applications, mobile application development, or installments of new software.Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing Medium to Large IT projects
Oversees the end to end daily management and delivery of one or more projects
Responsible for the monitoring, reporting and control of the assigned projects
Responsible for engaging all IT, vendor and business stakeholders
Responsible for successful delivery of the assigned projects
Must Haves:
7 years experience as a Project Manager
Experience managing IT projects ranging from $250,000 to $5,000,000, with at least 2-3 projects above $2 million dollars range
Experience managing COTS or custom applications, mobile application development, or installments of new software
Experience with both agile and waterfall methodologies
Proven ability to manage project financials and develop regular forecasts within a defined budget
Proven success at managing and controlling the scope of projects through effective change control and scope management processes
Ability to pick up projects mid-stream and deliver the projects to successful completion
Proven ability to deliver clear and concise project documentation
Proven ability to communicate with all levels of management, both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to work within standard procedures and methodologies
Ability to demonstrate high level functional and/or technical understanding of the scope of their projects
Ability to provide input into procedure and methodology improvement
Ability to forecast resource effort effectively
Nice to Haves:
Experience managing projects containing ETL processes, cloud data integration, and data visualizations
Previous experience as a Business Analyst
Previous experience managing projects containing significant Business Process re-engineering and Change Management
Utilities Industry Experience
