We are looking for a team lead with a background in road, transit, and linear infrastructure in Ontario. Experience in some or all of preliminary and detail design, water and sewer design, transportation planning, traffic management, and traffic engineering would be an asset.This role will entail the utilization of skills in leadership, business development and client interaction. As a Project Manager you will be asked to assist in growing and maintaining the business. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role Accountabilities:

• Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on transportation and municipal infrastructure projects such as preliminary design, detail design, tender preparation, and construction support
• Transportation Engineering task lead for large- and small-scale projects
• Review of preliminary and detailed design drawings, reviewing and supporting report-writing (e.g. design memos, functional servicing reports, etc.), proposal writing
• Manage staff productivity and utilization
• Coordinating with Project Engineer and Project Director
• Mentor staff and project teams
• Supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects
• Foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus
• Lead and direct business development activities in the London Area and across Ontario
• Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget
• Client liaison

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or Civil Engineering Technology degree with CET designation
• 5+ years of Project Management experience in municipal or transportation engineering
• P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) an asset
• Experience with MTO, City of London, Region of Waterloo, or other Ontario municipality are an asset
• Experience with preliminary and detailed design of arterial/municipal roads and linear infrastructure (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety, external drainage areas, sewer design)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads and Civil3D an asset
• Understanding of traffic engineering principles
• Familiar with construction inspection and preparation of reports
• Ability to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients
• Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expected
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high quality work
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
