AcademicJob Category Faculty BargainingJob Title Sessional LecturerDepartment UBCO | Faculty | School of Social Work | Faculty of Health and Social Development (Judy Gillespie)Posting End Date November 7, 2024Note: Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on the Posting End Date.Job End DateThe expected pay for this position is $2,389.78/month.The School of Social Work, in the Faculty of Health and Social Development, at the UBC Okanagan campus is seeking applications for a part-time (33% FTE), in-person or online, lecturer in the 2025W Term 2 (January 1 to April 30, 2025) for the following course:SOCW 558: Advanced Integrative Seminar for Field EducationKnowledge of human service organizations and tools for effective leadership.3 credits, in-person and online delivery, currently scheduled for alternating Fridays 11-2 (two sections in-person, 1 section online).Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver core lectures
  • Coordinate with guest lecturers
  • Organize tests, mid-term exams and grading
  • Hold weekly office hours
