The university is located in London, Canada, a safe, vibrant and welcoming community of more than 350,000 people serving as a regional medical and industrial hub for southwestern Ontario.About UsOur integrated Facilities Operations Team provides excellence in creating and maintaining Western’s facilities and in serving the community.ResponsibilitiesThe Shipper/Receiver is responsible for the efficient and effective processing of all goods and materials ordered by Western staff. The Shipper/Receiver will verify the accuracy of orders received and resolves discrepancies with suppliers. The Shipper/Receiver ensures accurate department records are kept, monitors and maintains supplies of packaging materials for shipments and provides reports on errors and discrepancies. The Shipper/Receiver will ensure the correct distribution of trades materials and building services supplies and is responsible for the inventory control of tools and equipment from the Tool Crib. The Shipper/Receiver will process incoming and outgoing mail (parcels, envelopes, couriers etc.), applying appropriate postage and maintaining accurate billing records for Faculties/Departments. The Shipper/Receiver will pick up and deliver supplies and mail to a variety of campus buildings.QualificationsEducation:
