We are currently seeking a “Solution Architect” for a contract role with one of our clients in Toronto, ON/Remote. Please apply if you would be interested.Duration: 06+ MonthsAbout: We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our technology team in the banking sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions, with a strong focus on database integration, system architecture, and application/data migration. This role requires deep expertise in DB2 and Oracle, as well as the ability to translate complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.Key Responsibilities:Design end-to-end technical architectures that support business and IT strategies.Lead data and application migration projects from planning through execution.Provide expert guidance on integration of DB2 and Oracle database environments.Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business teams to align solutions with business goals.Develop high-level and detailed architectural documentation, including system blueprints and solution designs.Ensure architectural integrity, scalability, and security compliance across platforms.Mentor and guide development teams during implementation and troubleshooting phases.Drive innovation and continuous improvement in systems design, data management, and delivery practices.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Proficient knowledge of both DB2 and Oracle database systems, including architecture, tuning, and integration.Strong understanding of data and application migration methodologies, especially in regulated environments.Proven experience in system design, software architecture, and enterprise integration.Familiarity with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly desirable.Regards
