Are you a seasoned Specialized IT Consultant with proven hands-on expertise in Oracle database administration and advanced data replication technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, and optimization of secure, scalable data solutions across on-premises and cloud environments using Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Azure services.Our client is looking for a Specialized IT Consultant for this hybrid role which requires on-site presence at least 2 days a week in Toronto 📍. It is a contract role of 3 months and the initial term may be extended once, with a maximum extension of 124 days. You will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, implementing CDC strategies, automating replication tasks, and enhancing operational efficiency within Agile and DevOps environments ⚙️.Advantages

• Administer large-scale Oracle databases on RAC clusters
• Configure, manage, and optimize Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate for real-time replication
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and ensure high data integrity
• Design and manage flat files and big data pipelines using Azure Storage and Azure Databricks
• Automate replication and ETL workflows using scripting (Python, Shell, SQL)
• Optimize database performance and implement enterprise-level data masking
• Document technical architecture, write user guides, and provide knowledge transfer
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile settings to deliver reliable solutions
• Conduct risk assessments, troubleshoot complex issues, and review source code quality

Qualifications
Must Have:

• Proven experience administering Oracle RAC environments
• Deep knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and Oracle GoldenGate (on-prem to cloud replication)
• Expertise in CDC, PL/SQL, and SQL tuning
• Experience in deploying and optimizing Oracle 19c on Exadata
• Familiarity with Azure Storage, Azure Databricks, and cloud integration best practices
• Experience with scripting languages and automation tools
• Hands-on knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate Big Data Edition
• Strong understanding of data architecture and cloud data design

Nice to Have:
