Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).Under the supervision of the Research Director, the Student Research Assistant will contribute to ongoing research projects and assist in the advancement of knowledge in applied AI and advanced digital health technologies in primary care and family medicine.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct literature reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the research topic and identify research gaps.Assist in designing and conducting experiments, data collection, and data analysis using appropriate.Collaborate with faculty and researchers to develop research hypotheses and methodologies.Assist in organizing and managing research data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality.Contribute to the preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations based on research.Participate in research team meetings to discuss project progress, share insights, and contribute to the research community.Assist in grant and proposal writing, including conducting background research, developing project descriptions, and budgeting.Maintain ethical standards and ensure compliance with research protocols, institutional policies, and relevant regulations.Assist in relevant research workshop planning and dissemination of the results (e.g., development of knowledge translation tools/products, publications,)Qualifications:Currently enrolled as a graduate student at McGill University.Strong academic background in health science and/or engineering with a solid understanding of research methodologies and techniques.Experience in conducting research, including data collection, analysis, and interpretation.Proficiency in using statistical analysis software and other relevant tools.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present research findings.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.Hourly Salary: $25.00Hours per Week: 20 (Part time)Location: 5858 Cote des NeigesSupervisor: Assistant ProfessorPosition Start Date: 2024-10-12Position End Date: 2025-01-31Deadline to Apply: 2024-10-12This position is covered by the Association of McGill University Research Employees (AMURE) collective agreement.McGill University hires on the basis of merit and is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community.
