Job Opportunity:
Production Summer Students working in our manufacturing facility are the key to ensuring quality cardboard boxes are produced for our customers. Working as a team, you will ensure production targets are met and that you and your co-workers are working safely. Daily tasks included pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, stacking cardboard through various machines.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, dependable, committed to working safely, have a strong work ethic, quality conscience, able to work 12-hour shifts, and have the desire & ability to work in a fast paced, non-air-conditioned environment.
What you will be doing:
Perform quality checks on finished products
Inspects packaging and product for damage
Put labels on pales
Aware and practices a safe work-environment at all times
Maintains work areas by keeping it clean and organized
Follows a schedule shift
Other duties related to the job
Requirements:
Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to end of August.
Must be physically fit, able to do repetitive work and able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to feed corrugated stock into our machines or pack boxes.
Ability to work safely and diligently; safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.
Must be 18 years of age or older
Enrolled in a post-secondary education
Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts
