Job Summary

DRS Pivotal Power has a current opening for an energetic, self-motivated person, with a proven ability to work closely and cooperatively with others, to fill a full-time temporary/contract Internship position as a Supply Chain Support Intern . A Supply Chain or Business Management student is required to be part of a team of Supply Chain professionals. They will assist with any number of supply chain activities revolving around purchase order support, requisition creation and tracking, expediting orders, sourcing research, and more!

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of general tactical duties as required to support purchasing activities

• May execute and generate purchase orders, based on approved requisitions, requests for proposals, bids and other similar and necessary documents related to the purchasing of supplies, equipment, services and materials

• Support purchase order expediting activities

• Assist in sourcing initiatives

• Communicate supplier performance issues

• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers.

• Coordinate, distribute and maintain data for assigned departmental reports

• May also have the opportunity to support other Supply Chain departments, such as Receiving and Inventory

• Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the Supply Chain team, methods, reports/metrics, programs and practices

DRS Pivotal Power uses a variety of ERP and MRP software. Familiarity with programs such as Costpoint, Deltrek, SAP would be an asset but training is provided.
