The Company
Intellijoint Surgical develops effective and easy-to-use products to enhance surgeons’ care and patients’ lives. Today, Intellijoint technology lives in the operating room helping surgeons improve implant positioning during hip and knee replacement surgeries. Our technology has been used in over 60,000 surgeries – helping us to gain real-world feedback from patients and surgeons to improve our products. We are seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Operations team to help bring innovative technologies to the market.
The Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist has the skills and passion suited to a dynamic scaling environment. Working as part of the Operations team, the Supply Chain Specialist will support the growth of the business by ensuring materials are available to successfully deliver to our customers on time and with quality.

Purchase Order & Inventory records are maintained accurately to support decisions by Management, AP & Sales.
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for:
Purchasing and Planning
-
Prepare and communicate purchase orders for all IJS purchases.
-
Track status of open purchase orders with suppliers, escalate issues in a timely manner.
-
Identify gaps in supply chain and formulate strategies to mitigate short term and long-term risk to ensure operations continuity.

Understand current and future product demand in concert with Commercial Team.
Vendor and Supplier Management

Maintain all required supplier documentation, perform yearly reviews on all major and critical suppliers

Manage supplier qualifications/ onboarding and part equivalence process; involve engineering and quality teams where required.

Maintain all material records required to support ISO 13485 Quality Management System.

Communicate latest drawing packages and manage production transition at suppliers.
Continuous Improvement
-
Contribute to ongoing development of other departmental processes to ensure Supply Chain dependencies are considered.

Plan and execute cost reduction opportunities.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Supply Chain within the Operations team.
Collaborate with:

Quality, R&D and suppliers to resolve quality issues (including managing NCR communication with suppliers)

PM, R&D, and QA/RA facilitating the sourcing, procurement, and release of new products; while providing ongoing support to the production team, ensuring operational continuity, and proactively identifying and solving issues that may impact timelines or efficiency.

Accounting for the reconciliation of daily receipts and invoicing discrepancies, supporting the timely payment of supplier invoices.
Skills and Experience to Enable Success:
-
College Diploma and/or University Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing and/or Logistics.

2 – 5 years relevant experience in a regulated industry
-
Experience working in a medical device environment (ISO 13485, FDA QSR, EU MDD/MDR, etc.) is an asset
-
Experience with Supply Chain in a scaling organization.

Methodical and precise in maintaining accurate records
-
Strong communication, inter-personal and customer service skills
-
Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet timelines
