Purpose: We are seeking a passionate and proactive Operations Intern who is eager to learn, driven by growth, and envisions a successful future in supply chain to support the Orthopedic Set Planning process. In this role, you will collaborate closely with supply & demand planners to enhance operational efficiency through process optimization and automation initiatives.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to actively contribute to our operational strategies while acquiring valuable skills and insights into the Orthopedic sector. We are searching for the best talent for Supply Chain Intern to be in Markham , ON .

  • Internship typical term is 10-12 weeks May to August, 2025

  • Full time requirement (37,5 hours per week)

You will be responsible for:

To assist in the Orthopedic Set Planning process.

1. Operational Assessment

  • Engage in comprehensive analysis of the orthopedic set planning process in Canada to understand its various inputs and overall impact on revenue and sales planning.

2. Data validation and system maintenance

  • Assist in the realignment of the Bill of Materials (BOM) within the Anchor system, ensuring that the latest BOM is consistently updated and evaluated for accuracy.

3. Process Optimization

  • Develop and implement solutions to automate the order loading process, enhancing efficiency and creating a streamlined approach across various business units.

  • Assist supply planners in identifying methods to track order status more efficiently from various sourcing locations across the US and Europe, aiming to improve supply reliability and proactively uncover potential risks associated with established orders.

4. Performance Evaluation

  • Contribute to the development of an independent approach for tracking and evaluating deployment performance.

  • Participate in the conceptualization of Consignment Entitlement Models, promoting a structured methodology for future initiatives.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at accredited University is required.

  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 is required.

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives while delivering results.

  • Proactive individual capable of working autonomously while also supporting team objectives.

  • Experience leading continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred :

  • Experience or coursework in supply chain management or operations processes.

  • Familiarity with data analysis tools or ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications, along with experience in Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
