You will become part of a growing global category team responsible for the oversight of more than $400M of spend for the Electrical Fastening Solutions segment of nVent. This position will sit within our EFS Regional Europe Supply Team and report directly to our Europe Regional Supply Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with internal partners in Supply, Product Management, Finance and Operations to develop requirements and complete projects to meet Strategic Sourcing and nVent strategic goals. This position will entail the supervision of sourcing analysts and project leaders in the areas of, RFP events, Supplier Negotiations, Contact Management, KPI reporting and regional supply chain strategic projects including category strategies. Global Sourcing is a growing department that contributes directly to nVent’s bottom line collaborating with leaders across nVent supporting initiatives to drive and accelerate nVent growth.

Your area of responsibility:

  • Championing Strategic Sourcing Process

  • Develop best class sourcing strategy for mitigating Inflation, improving cost productivity and maintaining supply availability.

  • Direct Supervision of Sourcing Project Leaders and Analyst

  • Establish relationships with collaborators to ensure alignment of direct and indirect sourcing policies and initiatives.

  • Developing and supporting category strategy and project plans to meet strategic goals

  • Supplier negotiations and selection

  • Total Cost analysis

  • Facilitate and resolve supplier issues

  • Analyze spend and perform detailed supply market analysis for spend categories

  • Identify Supplier Risk and recommend mitigation strategy

  • Supplier performance reviews

  • Use Sievo, Power BI and Tableau BI tools to enhance project management and reporting capabilities

  • Identify and resolve supply chain constraints

  • Lead change initiatives within supply chain

  • Review opportunities between sites and regions to synergize and consolidate direct category spend.

  • Develop, execute and manage supplier and subcontractor contracts

  • Develop and deploy In-Region , Dual Sourcing and Supplier Resilience strategies

  • Develop and present a Monthly Business Review to the Organization

  • Support Compliance initiative to suppliers with local regulations

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelors Degree in Related Field (Supply Chain, Business, Finance).

  • Minimum 5 years purchasing/supply chain experience ( manufacturing environment preferred )

  • Team leadership experience is preferred

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Personal computer and related software (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc).

  • Skills in managing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner

  • Project management skills to:

  • Develop realistic plans, action steps, and timetables for projects and assignments

  • Coordinate work with other groups

  • Ability to contribute knowledge and information to group discussions, especially in the problem solving process

  • Ability to represent the department and the company in a professional manner

  • Ability to work with associates on a team under the supervision of a leader or independently as necessary

  • Ability to proactively use logic and reasoning to identify solutions

  • Ability to demonstrate an exceptional commitment and integrity to exceed expectations to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment

  • Handle multiple demands and competing priorities

  • Willingness to travel (<25%)
