Location: Ancaster Meadow, 93 Kitty Murray Lane, Ancaster, ON L9K 1S3
Schedule: Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 6:00pm shifts
Pay Rate (includes wage grants):
RECE: $26.96 per hour
Non-RECE: $22.30 per hour

Diploma in a field related to childcare such as Early Childhood Education
A Diploma in Child & Youth Worker, Child and Youth Care, OCT, Education Assistant, Social Worker, or Recreation & Leisure may also be considered.
Certifications:
Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) is preferred but not required
Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Up-to-date immunization for TB, Tetanus, and MMR
Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations

Willingness to work in an on-call capacity with flexible scheduling
Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, within the 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM time frame.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, flexible environment with minimal supervision
Flexibility and adaptability to be assigned in multiple locations, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to assigned childcare centres to support full- and part-time staff
Establishing goals, planning, implementing, and evaluating developmentally appropriate activities to support children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth in line with the How Does Learning Happen framework
Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children while fostering professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
