Salary: (Start) $28.35/hrAbout the Student Success and Engagement Dept at Humber:The Department of Student Success & Engagement (SSE) supports students’ active participation in experiential initiatives, promotes student health, wellness and inclusivity, and offers a variety of educational and career-related support services to help current Humber students, recent graduates and newcomers to Canada achieve their academic and personal goals. SSE also supports our local communities by providing opportunities to build capacity and share resources.SSE is comprised of Athletics and Recreation, Student Events, Student Wellness and Equity, and Transition and Academic Support.About the Client Care Facilitator Role:Reporting to the Manager, SWAC Services, the SWAC Client Care Facilitator (CCF) works collaboratively in the Student Wellness and Equitable Learning portfolio and is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of a multi-faceted, multi-site, multi-service high volume clinical division to ensure a smoothly functioning office/clinic and excellent patient relations. The SWAC CCF provides support in a team-based, service-oriented environment to multiple physicians, Accessibility Consultants, Counsellors, nurses, administrators, and other clinical staff, and is responsible for a variety of interactions with students / patients, insurance companies, staff, faculty, and other health professionals in preparation for and following up from clinic visits.In addition to the clinic support responsibilities, this position will perform other administrative functions to ensure the successful operations of the Student Wellness and Equitable Learning clinical practice. The SWAC CCF supports the mission and strategic directions of the Student Wellness andEquitable Learning area through high quality student / client and operational support, including front-line services both in-person and virtually.QualificationsAbout You:

3 year diploma/degree plus professional certification or equivalent. Preferred fields: Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Services degree plus Medical Secretary CertificateExperience/Skills
- Minimum of 2 years:
- Knowledge of practices and protocols related to medical office procedures, (i.e. medical terminology, appointments, medical records, insurance verification, cashiering, billing, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of student-centered and trauma-informed professional practice.
- Knowledge of Canadian Mental Health Standard, and relevant privacy legislation (i.e, FIPPA, PHIPA).
- Excellent conflict resolution, interpersonal, client relationship, and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
- Ability to engage and build rapport with various stakeholders and members of the college community.
- Good knowledge of principles and practices of administration in a post-secondary educational environment.
- Filing skills to maintain logs and files of information in alphabetical, chronological and/or numerical order, such that it is current and easily retrievable. Knowledge of all pertinent laws, regulations, and guidelines governing medical records; confidentiality, privacy, and provision to others, including FIPPA and PHIPA.
- Ability to efficiently use computer system applications for all functions required for this position, including electronic mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and health / medical office management (i.e. electronic medical record – scheduling, template maintenance, maintenance of demographic and insurance information).
- Bookkeeping skills sufficient to maintain accurate records of student / patient data, prepare related reports, etc.
- Experience working in a dynamic office setting with hybrid delivery of services to create immersive and seamless experiences for students in physical and virtual spaces.
