  • Facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping
  • Decompose the solution into small increments of value (stories) that can be independently built and validated
  • Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure a flow of stories are specified, engineered and validated
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with teams to detail acceptance criteria on stories using practices such as specification by example
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of defects with the team and ensures that they act as a catalyst for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to review and accept completed stories and features
  • Collaborate with team and business representatives to define value and guide priority
  • Tracking projects through each phase of project lifecycle
  • Working with various teams to achieve end-to-end project delivery
  • Ensure milestones are met and project has gone through all approval gates
  • Document project status & assist team in maintaining information repositories
  • Maintain project risk tracker and communicate project risks to management
  • Prepare work back schedules, roadmap and capacity planning at a project level
  • Support app releases & rollout related activities
  • Keep all stakeholders up to date on project status and roadblocks
  • Ability to set expectations with all stakeholders, execute and communicate accordingly
  • Ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and Solutions in a simple and logical manner following stakeholder field of expertise
  • Ability to work effectively with engineering Sr Managers when needed to remediate risk around project delivery.
  • Engage stakeholders (e.g. risk, legal, audit) as needed for consultation throughout the course of the project.
  • Contribute to the productivity and happiness of the scrum team
  • Supporting project team members in challenging situations (resource / release challenges, cross-team communication)

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?

  • Post-secondary education in a technology related field
  • You have 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • You pride yourself as a detail-oriented person and you notice all the little details for every document / requirement / conversation that comes across you
  • Possess superior problem-solving and decision-making skills to resolve work issues in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and drive solutions with a small working team
  • Demonstrate a technical understanding of cloud computing, REST APIs and systems integrations
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge and experience on ISO20022 standard
  • • Previous experience in Banking industry, Payments in particular. Knowledge in
  • Swift/Fedwire is required.
  • Possess a strong customer orientation and a keen ability to learn rapidly.
  • Must have previous experience working in agile project delivery. Scrum Master certification is an asset.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in software development
  • Knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends.
  • You are a self-motivated person and are driven to deliver quality work
  • You are able to navigate complex and ambiguous situations with ease, multi-task and work on multiple initiatives at the same time
