Technical Sales RepresentativeAEM has a well-established reputation providing specialty aviation solutions. Based out of Kelowna, British Columbia, AEM is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of special-mission aircraft audio communication and loudspeaker systems, mission radios, avionics consoles and caution panels utilized throughout the world. We are the first FAA-certified at-the-gate airframe crack detection sensor solution for commercial airline operators. AEM is a Transport Canada approved manufacturer and is ISO9001/AS9100D registered and certified under Canada’s Controlled Goods Program. We are proud of AEM’s proven offerings of unique, flexible, and customizable solutions developed in consultation with integrators and operators!We are experiencing year over year sales growth with a revenue forecast that will outpace our current resources. We have an opening for a driven, product savvy and customer centric technical sales representative to join our expanding sales team in the beautiful Okanagan valley- Kelowna. Here, we have a vertically integrated manufacturing facility, which includes research & development, product manufacturing, quality assurance, repairs, support, and sales & marketing capabilities.About the Role

  • Direct sales approach within assigned territory to new and existing customers (aircraft completion centers, operators, OEM’s) including researching competitors, planning your strategy and executing the plan to close deals.
  • Implements targeted sales campaigns and grows AEM customer base primarily through 1:1 contact via phone, email, participation in trade shows, etc.
  • Builds strong relationships with customers while demonstrating a deep understanding of AEM product offerings and solutions.
  • Maintains data integrity of the CRM- Sales Force and leverages data analytics.
  • Collaborates internally with the sales & marketing team and R&D.

About the Candidate

  • Team player;
  • Assertive and goal oriented with a hunger to succeed;
  • Actively listens to potential customers, obtains feedback and provides better advice and solutions;
  • Minimum three years of experience with direct selling and a high success record of closing sales in a technology product environment, ideally within the avionics industry;
  • Willing to be based out of the Kelowna, BC sales office where there is seamless interaction amongst the team and our research & development designers. *Other geographical locations may be considered from Canada or USA;
  • High technical aptitude;
  • Proven effective time management, project management and organizational skills;
  • Passion for learning and mentoring;
  • Former completion of sales training through a recognized provider is preferred.
